Product Description
On December 16, 2004, Microsoft announced its acquisition of GIANT Company Software. Microsoft will continue to provide support for the Spam Inspector, Popup Inspector, and Giant AntiSpyware products. For Giant AntiSpyware products, Microsoft will continue to release updated spyware definition files on an ongoing basis. Further information for customer support for these products is available through the Support page. Microsoft, however, will no longer sell new licenses, subscriptions, or subscription renewals for GIANT Company Software products.
On January 6, 2005, Microsoft announced the availability of the first beta version of Microsoft Windows AntiSpyware, a solution that will help protect Windows users from spyware and other potentially unwanted software. This beta release, based on technology acquired from GIANT Company Software Inc., is now available for download and supports Microsoft Windows 2000 and later versions.
